BrainWise and The Chugachmiut

Posted On: June 23, 2006

In the Spring Dr. Barry traveled to Alaska to conduct a training and workshop in BrainWise with the Chugachmiut–one of the Alaska Native groups of a certain geo-political region.  In conjunction with the tribal consortium non-profit organization which provides health and social services to families in seven communities, Dr. Barry presented the program in a “train the trainer” event for 18 community members. Matt Sena, the organizer of the event stated that many of the people who attended that have taught the program,
and many of his team members now avidly use BrainWise.  He reports that BrainWise has been taught in every community that they work with in the penisula southwest of Anchorage.
